7/28 – 8/4/14 – Trip to North Carolina
Return to Highlands. While in seminary at Duke, I worked one summer in the beautiful town of Highlands, NC. Highlands is a beautiful golf destination for Southerners. It is in the far West side of NC, just north of the Georgia and South Carolina borders. I will go back with a buddy from seminary to visit friends and play some golf. Most of the course there are carved out of the forested mountains. This means tight fairways and therefore a great need for control. It should be fun!
10/6 – 10/10/14 – Whistling Straits with Big Mike
I have always wanted to play Whistling Straits. It is on my bucket list for golf. It is located in Kohler, Wisconsin, and is owned by the Kohler family (yes, the ones who make all your sinks). The course is on the water, and is a links style course. It is very difficult and extremely beautiful. I’m so excited to play it!
